Move Back the Stone

Astonishment

By Rowan Finley Published 6 years ago 1 min read

Oh, what a stench you were!

Oh, what a miracle to occur!

Your death had us all in tears,

As we reflected on your short lived years.

Little did we know, that you would be brought back to life,

His powerful words pierced us to the heart like that of a knife.

Our brother is alive again!

Doubt is so quick to cloud our minds and lead us into sin.

Oh, Death, you couldn't win this time!

Oh, Death, you will be served an eternal sentence for your crime!

Peeling of his grave clothes,

The demons racing away in droves.

He is alive! He is alive!

Now to serve the Savior, we will now strive!

That "death couldn't win this time" line feels like a mic drop!
