Mountains are unique examples of beauty, peace, austerity, spirituality, eco-yoga and creativity. The mountains are an extraordinary environment of biological diversity, cultural diversity and linguistic diversity. Mountains defy the gravity of the Earth and peek out from the sky.

The mountains are dressed as evergreens right up to their crown of silver white. They stand sentry to the bluest of lake waters. If the earth had a pulse it rose through the mountains, creating their bold silhouette. I saw those rocks at dawn, those slopes that are home to so much life. A foundation for trees and shrubs.

With blue above and below, the sky and the lake, ever lightening as the sun rose, I knew it would be a good day. I just knew.....
