motion picture soundtrack
let's go out of style too
unfold me
like a motion picture soundtrack
like smudged lipstick stains
stuttering at the beginning
of a skipping record
brokenness now modern art
so let's go out of style too
without halos
radio silences
without judgement
and curvy wineglasses
let's make a scene
but not that one please
everyone's getting cancelled
breathlessly spinning like
whirring tops before
toppling over like
topless Jenga blocks
let's bask in the silence
in cheek pressed on cool table
at that one hole in the wall diner
by that one streetlight turning green
and another red for no one
in post orgasmic inhale
pupils returning to normal
let's never end this
even when i think I want you to
fold me up
like old news

This is so lovely
Two lovers in their own world - no judgement- just wrapped in each other. ❤️
I liked the way this read like a series of scenes and it felt moody: not angry but a sort of sensual brooding.
"Unfold me like a motion picture soundtrack...." Loved your poem.
