My Mother has no heart.

And don’t ever try to convince me that

Her loving and compassionate nature is genuine

Because

I know the real person beneath the façade.

I have to admit that

It hurts to see what the world refuses to see

Because when you really take a closer look

And

When every bit of the pretense is stripped away

There is absolutely nothing left

Because

My Mother only pretends to care

You will never in this lifetime convince me that

Motherly love is apparent in all that she does.
