The glory of this day is not yet apparent.

1. Avert your gaze from staring directly into the sun, in challenge.

2. Stomp the ground to raise the soil around you, in fine clouds of dust.

3. While the earth reclaims her calm, close your eyes and listen.

4. Dig your toes into the earth. You will become a tree, strongly rooted.

5. Open your eyes and mouth a salutation.

6. Allow this greeting to leave your lips tentatively, and turn into birds.

7. Do not let these fledglings feel your worry, they need to leave the nest, fly away.

8. Some may remain among your ample branch. Settle in with them and watch the sun set.
