MORTEM

Befriend the enemy

By Prometheus Published 6 years ago 1 min read

Dear YOU

I waited for you when life was miserable.

I saw that you stopped by but never stepped in.

You had dinner with my neighbors but I guess my house wasn’t good enough for you.

At the edge of the bridge, I sat many nights patiently waiting for you.

This is one of your favorite place, I’ve overheard people saying it is?

I know you visit this edge frequently.

Even bring friends with you every time.

The view from up here at night is spectacular, all those lights and colors. closing eyes and letting go as I take flight and dream of the things that could have been.

My imagination created a face for you, not black or white but somewhere in between.

You are really not as fearful as most think.

I don’t think you are cruel, just direct and true, the bitter truth.

I always thought you were my worse enemy but after been so close to you, I consider you a friend.

I’ve never been afraid of you and I know why?

I’ve just been curious to know what meeting you is going to be like.

See you soon my friend.
