Mornings

September 25

By Logan StanislawPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

You hung yourself

Strung yourself up

Left this world a little quicker than us

Now I am left by this four poster bed

Wondering what I could have said

I'll admit part of me wishes I could've joined you that night

Pulled up the courage to wrap the rope right

Instead I am left by this four poster bed

Imagining, dreaming, what lies ahead?

But maybe I can let you in on a secret

Since only I am alive to keep it

You have saved my life and I'll never regret it

To honor you is pulling through and saving me from myself

Like the flowers that die and revive every spring

I got your message, I've been listening

I'm here, I'm rejoicing, I'm here, I am dying - to be free

To honor you is pulling through and saving me from myself
