Morning Light

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 2 min read

Verse 1:

Let me wake up next to you, sunshine in my eyes,

The world outside is calling us, beneath these endless skies.

We’ll brew the coffee, let the aroma fill the air,

In the quiet of the morning, it’s just us as we share.

Chorus:

With your hand in mine, let’s wander the streets,

Every little moment with you, my heart skips a beat.

Through the hustle and the chaos, I’ll find my peace,

I’ll be happy for the rest of my f up life, at least.

Verse 2:

We’ll laugh at the tiny things, like strangers passing by,

Make up stories in the corners where history lies.

With every step taken, the city sings our song,

In the warmth of your presence, I know where I belong.

Chorus:

With your hand in mine, let’s wander the streets,

Every little moment with you, my heart skips a beat.

Through the hustle and the chaos, I’ll find my peace,

I’ll be happy for the rest of my f up life, at least.

Bridge:

Let’s chase the sunset, let the colors all blend,

With you by my side, every curve of the road bends.

We’ll make our own memories that no one can take,

In this beautiful mess, it’s love we’ll create.

Verse 3:

So here’s to the mornings, the laughter, the tears,

Through every crazy moment, I’ll hold you near.

Let me wake up next to you, every dawn anew,

In this f up life, it’s always been you.

Chorus:

With your hand in mine, let’s wander the streets,

Every little moment with you, my heart skips a beat.

Through the hustle and the chaos, I’ll find my peace,

I’ll be happy for the rest of my f up life, at least.

Outro:

So pour out your heart, and let our love shine,

Through thick and thin, forever you’ll be mine.

With every sunrise, with every new view,

I’ll be happy just waking up next to you.
