Dappled sunlight radiates through the foliage,
Interspersed in the array of green growth beneath our feet.
Shadows of cities hidden to the naked eye
Trickle with motion as a new day dawns.
Rabbits and squirrels alike emerge from their
Abodes, falling into their natural rhythm.
Centuries of tradition determine their roles—
Think what it would be like to live
Instinctually, free of humanity’s trivial pursuits.
Only a sliver of stress is blown away by the aromic forest breeze,
Nevertheless a welcome distraction before we set sail for the coming horizon.
