Morning Asana
A poem where the practice begins at the beginning of the poem as well as the end

namaste
i close my eyes
stillness.
breathe into
uninvited thoughts.
release
relax.
muscles tighten
slowly
heartbeat throbs.
deeply
inhale peace
exhale fear
be present.
sweat drips
palms slip
i try.
so tired
the sky is still dark
palms open, i sit
i bow my head
morning.

I love how the short lines let this flow, much like a yoga practice in the morning. “sweat drips palms slip” is such a great description of how it feels to work your body when tired, and the reversed idea of this works well considering the opening and closings of a practice. Nicely done😊
It's great to be calm
