Step 1.

Chuck it in the freezer within two hours of death

Before rigor mortis sets in.

When thawed out it’ll be easy to work with and

Freeze-dried retains its cute grin.

Step 2.

So, first you must make a ventral incision

Along the underside.

Replace the innards and organs with silicone.

Then it needs seven months to dry.

Step 3.

Here’s a good tip: Go with the grain of the hair.

Make a dorsal cut fine.

From the bottom of the skull to the base of the tail

Cut straight along the spine.

Step 4.

Always use a sharp blade, imagine it’s a fruit

When you peel back the skin.

Then around the paws, mouth, nose and eyes you must Ever so carefully trim.

Step 5.

So there you have it, my tutorial’s done

Truthfully based upon fact.

But ’tis true, there is probably more than one way

To skin poor Tiddles, the cat.
