Oh how the moon fell in love with the sun

The stars envious of their light

They turned the world into madness and play

His light basking in her mystery on a sweet summer day.

Her crescent heart unexpectedly grew full

He found himself howling at her grace

Who would have expected that this ball of fire

Would burn brighter at the sight of her face

Sunlight desperately urged his moon to shine

Moonlight sat upon his brow to guide him

Their bond eclipsed the world for hours

No one minding the darkness and meteor showers.

Oh how the sun fell in love with the moon

The planets desperate to see their fate

Only a century and a half they had to wait

To realize the passion that they would create.
