Watch me pick at these bones

Wishing away feelings I’ve never owned

They watched me with careful eyes

Yet they failed in their attempt to desensitize.

Dark clouds forming in masses

Overpowering any emotion that passes.

Let the ocean rock me to sleep

Let my soul be it’s to keep.

Tranquility is hard to maintain

When the world often shuffles your brain.

I wasn’t born to become a drone

I just want to be wonderful

High winds fold the ocean over

Making it sound like the world is moving slower.

Let the ocean rock me to sleep

Let my soul be it’s to keep.
