Moonlight in My Mind
When Thoughts Whisper Louder Than Words

When the world goes silent, my mind gets loud,
Waves of memories crashing, uninvited, unbowed.
A soft moonlight sneaks into my dim-lit room,
Pulling pieces of me out of the gloom.
I wander inside thoughts I never chose,
Writing poems on paper that nobody knows.
Hearts stitched in ink, soaked in regret,
With dreams that the daylight always forgets.
My silence is heavy, like clouds before rain,
It pours in the shape of poems and pain.
I wear a smile stitched over my scars,
And wish upon dead and distant stars.
The world sees a face — bright and calm,
But inside, I’m breaking without a balm.
Not broken enough to give up the fight,
But tired enough to vanish into night.
So I hold on — to words, to skies, to me,
To whatever’s left of what I used to be.
I write to feel, I feel to stay,
And breathe my soul into every phrase I say.
If you feel this, you’re not alone,
This moonlight in your mind is also my own.
