The night the world opened

Slightly grey sky with patches

Of lightness and tiny glimpse

Hope peaking through the clouds

As the wind pushes them along

There is a show

Views of darkness

Moments of depth

Scenes of transparency

It was like our relationship

We had fullness

Then there transparency

And clear skies which felt empty

While I shinned my very best

He shunned by creating cover

I waned and waxed

Like the moon and the tides

Ebb and flowed

Lost my rhythm

Felt the pressure of footsteps

A flag planted where it didn’t belong

And a longing for peace and quiet

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
