Silver is my favourite metal.
It is not brash like gold;
I like its blueness and its clarity.
Circles are my favourite shape.
They are smooth and infinite;
I like their wholeness.
What I'm trying to say is
I like looking at you.
I see your dimples and your darker spots
That your powder can't conceal
And I like these nuances,
Your tranquil depths, like lunar seas.

This feels like a true love letter. If I were to receive this, I wouldnt feel wooed, I would feel loved.
A delightful poem to the moon… I used to prefer gold over silver, but silver now suits my changed colouring as I ‘mature’!😉
There was a calmness and loving truth imbedded in your poem...much like I think your character to be!
I have read this several times now in a failed attempt to divine its secrets. But each time I am struck with the thought that the face that inspired your poem is not the moon's at all, and other than the final line using 'like' to compare it to the lunar seas I cannot unlock the reason why. Wonderful entry to the challenge, Rachel. Good luck!
Oooo, lunar seas, I especially loved that!
Lovely, Rachel! I often think what would happen to us if the moon were not there anymore. We take it so much for granted.
Oh my, those last two lines were a fantastic way to end this one! Well done, Rachel :)
This was a wonderfully, beautiful letter to the moon Rachel!! It made me smile!!
