Oh, moon of light in skies so vast,
A silver glow that holds me fast.
You rise when sun must take its rest,
A beacon bright, a soul caressed.
Upon the velvet night you gleam,
A whispered wish, a lover's dream.
The oceans bow beneath your gaze,
Their tides ensnared in lunar praise.
A guardian soft in darkest hours,
A queen adorned in mystic powers.
Your gentle glow, so pure, so white
Dispels the fears that haunt the night.
You weave through clouds, a ghostly wisp,
A lullaby in hush and lisp.
The stars, your court, in awe they stand,
As shadows dance upon the land.
Through ancient times, in scrolls and lore,
The poets sang, the dreamers sworeā
That in your light, the lost would see,
A path to fate, a destiny.
The wolves do howl in fierce delight,
Their voices raised to meet your might.
And lovers sigh in warm embrace,
Bathe in your soft, celestial grace.
O moon of light, so high, so bright,
A silver torch in endless night.
May you remain in skies above,
A symbol pure of dreams and love.
O moon of light, so bold, so free,
A silent watcher o'er land and sea.
You whisper secrets through the breeze,
That rustles soft to trees.
Your silver beams on rivers play,
Like scattered pearls upon the bay.
The mountains bathe in your embrace,
Their peaks aglow with tender grace.
The lonely souls beneath your sight,
Find solace in your gentle light.
You hold their dreams in twilight's glow,
A guiding force they'll always know.
Through endless years, through time untold,
You've watched the world in dusk unfold.
Empires rose and fell away,
Yet still you shineāa lamp, a ray.
The painters dipped their brush in awe,
To capture you without a flaw.
The poets wove your name in rhyme,
A muse untouched by hands of time.
But who are you, so bright, so fair?
A far-off orb? A ghost of light?
Or is it moreāa breathĆØd vow,
A secret kept in night's dark brow?
Oh, moon of light, with magic spun,
You rule till sunup is begun.
Then down you glideāyour vigil done,
Till eve comes back and hearts are won.
Oh, moon of light, in endless space,
You sail with silent, mystic pace.
A lantern hung in heaven's dome,
A wanderer with no true home.
The sages gaze and chart your path,
In cosmic dance of love and wrath.
The ancients prayed, they watched, they knew,
Their fates were tied to tides of you.
A whisper in the midnight air,
A silver kiss beyond compare.
The lovers part beneath your glow,
Yet in your light, their hearts still know.
The sailors trust your guiding gleam,
A compass bright, a star's lost dream.
They sing, they weep upon the tides,
Yet come in course where you go drifting wide.
Oh, moon of brightness, visible near,
Long-suffering eye, a watchful star, dear.
All the earth's tears you know, the hours of pain
The innumerable secrets time in vain
How many wishes have you listened to?
Whispered prayers, a spoken word or two?
How many promises broken in despair
As dawn mist vanishes in rain?
And yet you shine serene untouched unbound,
Ethereal shine, famed forever.
Through fleeting years and seasons' flight,
You hold the world in silver light.
So linger on in heaven's deep,
While dreams are spun and mortals sleep.
And when the dawn bids you goodbye,
You'll wait again to rule the sky.
Oh, moon of light, so cold, so bright,
A guardian of the endless night.
You rise and fall in silent grace,
Yet time can never dim your face.
Through shifting sands and echoes old,
Through stories lost and legends told,
You stand unscarred by earthly ills,
A specter where the stardust gills.
The trees reach up to taste your glow,
Their leaves like silver flames below.
Rivers hum, the deserts sigh,
As you drift on through boundless sky.
Oh, myriad hearts have watched you shine,
And called you thineā"This moon is mine."
But none can claim your fleeting light,
You slip through fingers, ghostly white.
The wise once read your shifting face,
And traced their fates within your space.
The mystics bowed, the dreamers swore,
You held the key to heaven's door.
And still tonight the poets weave
Their longing words upon such nights as these.
Still lovers stand with hands entwined,
And swear their souls to you in kind.
Oh, moon of light, you hear them allā
The softest plea, the fiercest call.
You watch the world in joy and strife,
The endless waltz of death and life.
But do you long, do you lament?
Are you alone in firmament?
Does sorrow touch your silver glow,
Or do you shine and never know?
Oh, silent moon, thy secrets keep,
While dreams take flight and mortals sleep.
Until the stars burn out and fade,
Forever bright, you'll soar llunscathed. Oh, moon of light, in endless flight,
A watcher of both dark and bright.
The world below may twist and turn,
Yet still you shine, yet still you burn.
The winds may howl, the storms may rise,
Earth tremble beneath weary sighs.
Yet all through it your glory stands,
Unshaken by sorrow's woes, or pain's.
The first soft look you gave to earth,
Of old men in their days of birth,
When fire was raw, and man unkind,
And thou didst stand unmoving, a gentle mother?
You saw the first of whispered dreams,
The kings' birth, and the queens' fall.
Thou castedst thy beams upon dark wars,
On crowns that broke, on blades grown dim.
Yet still, you whisper, calm and low,
As centuries like rivers flow.
Empires crumble, time moves on,
Yet in the night, you are not gone.
Do angels trace their steps through you?
Do spirits dance in silver hue?
Are you the bridge between the veils,
Where life and death tell sacred tales?
Oh, moon of light, forever high,
A tearless eye within the sky.
You've watched a world of love and sin,
Yet never let the darkness win.
And when the sun, in golden might,
Emerges strong to chase your light,
You fade, but never truly leave,
For in our hearts, your glow still breathes.
So shine, oh moon, so bold, so bright,
A promise kept, a hope, a sight.
For when all fades and time is through,
The night will riseāand so will you.
