Modern Valentine’s Day

Technology takes over everything

Modern Valentine’s Day

We sit so close, yet far away,

hearts distracted, minds astray.

Fingers scroll, the screens glow bright,

love is there—but out of sight.

Some say it’s ignorant, some say rude,

but scrolling kills the awkward mood.

I’d rather Facebook, like, and roam,

than sit and listen to him moan.

A kiss emoji, a heart, a like,

digital love feels oh so right.

when the battery fades to black,

will we have each other back?

Have each other, to hold on tight,

Valentine’s Day will then be alright 👍

Valentine's in the time of social media. Viewers will find a way to love and friendship. Good job.
