Mistletoe and Laughter
Under green sprigs,
we leaned and laughed,
a brush of lips,
and the moment passed.
Laughter rattled,
through halls lined with cheer,
your eyes found mine,
pulling me near.
The fire crackled,
casting shadows around,
mistletoe magic,
where love was found.
No words mattered,
the night held our play,
we kissed under stars,
then let them stay.
Jokes tumbled freely,
through rooms warm and wide,
we chased each other,
like the snow outside.
Each giggle a spark,
every glance a flame,
we found a rhythm,
no one else could name.
Through the quiet night,
our hearts softly roared,
love tangled in laughter,
and the warmth we adored.

Such a sweet, gentle poem, it feels like a little movie of laughter, warmth, and holiday magic. The rhythm is lovely, and the imagery under the mistletoe is so vivid and tender. Annie from the SoftlyWished team
