Mist

This mist is my escape.

By Zaria AndersonPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

Pressing tears into my pillow case

I imagine a time where i'm loved for once.

Misty mountains, a wooden cabin lay asleep.

Just me and my lover, the fog our cover.

No one around to pick at my wounds.

Just me and my lover

Love letters delivered by mail tied us closer till we could pack our bags and mold ourselves together.

Wind picking up, grass wrapping around us, yet you're standing by me.

Pen to the paper, I couldn't even imagine a lover.

So I close my eyes and speed through the time.

The useless heartbreak

The anger, the sadness

Just to find her in our sleepy cabin.
