Miss Lunar Lovely

When no one else is listening

By Katarina TylerPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Dear Mrs.Moon,

Is he coming back?

Little Moon Lady,

Will I ever see him again?

Waxing Crescent Wise,

Do I want to?

My Lovely Lady in White,

Will he ever call to say it’s all different now?

Moonbeam in Snow,

How can I stay tender and lovely in spite of it all?

Mademoiselle MoonPie,

How can I stay busy not missing him if all I taste is his absence?

My Shiny Woman in the Sky,

How do you do it? How do you keep shining through? They say there is a man in your face. I don’t see it.

Pink Flower Moon Mama,

I am sick and moon-eyed. The streets cry “look down!” and I howl at the sky

Miss Lunar Lovely,

If I keep my head down how will I ever see the stars?
