Other People's Windows
still looking through the dark
By Katarina TylerPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

It’s so dark now I look through
other people’s windows,
the little dipper and the big
every light brings me still back to you
light brings me back to you
still I think of your eyes like light
your hands like shadows
holding me when you’re here and gone
you hold me when you’re gone
like the dippers always there in the dark
scanning windows for your outline
no relief like a continued search
This continual search brings no relief
trial and trial; nothing shines the same
your light and my light made a new house
but it’s too dark now to look through
