Misery Martyr
A poem
Misery sure loves company
but I will be declining the invitation.
My joy is not something to be hijacked
by envious folks reliant on intimidation.
Those who wallow in self-pity like pigs in slop,
content in the agony of their self made situation.
Acting like the most haunted martyrs
when they are models of aberration.
Those who try to honestly embrace them
are made monsters in their imagination.
I will continue to give my love to those deserving,
but I will handle it with caution.
There are those set on destroying joy,
because hatred and jealousy are their reliable option.

I love your style of writing! The words are very sharp and you establish a rhythm right out of the gate.
How are we to know? Congratulations for top spot! ♥
I love "declining the invitation", such a great line. Love it
Indeed, sorrow always seeks companionship, but our happiness cannot be captured by any malice. It is very important to free yourself from the bondage of aggression, jealousy and hatred of people in life. People who live in and are happy with situations of their own making don't need help, they want to demonize us in their own imaginations. However, to those who need proper love, love must be given, but cautiously. Though sorrow and hatred are their only options, our joy and love will not allow them to perish.
Great first two lines!
I really appreciate this story.
Congratulations on Top Story!!!
Don’t let anyone yuck your yum even if your yum is just enjoying your own happiness
