Mirrored Reality

A Short Poem

By Rika LekayPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

***

Look in the mirror for me...

Tell me, what do you see?

***

If I say, "raise your dominant hand!"

Many of you would instinctively raise your right,

No questions asked.

***

You may think it's even stupid,

To raise your dominant hand in a mirror.

But look again:

Your right hand becomes your left...

***

...Through the mirror.

It's like a portal to a different reality.

Rights are rare here,

While the left are more common.

***

Let's look back at when I raise my left hand,

My left becomes my right.

I feel incredibly dominant...

...In this reality,

It's acceptable and normal to use your left.

***

It's considered weird to use your right,

It's a source of black magic.

It's evil.

You're some evil witch if you use your right... in this reality.

***

Oh, how the tables have turned!

Now, you've finally seen the other side,

Through a mirrored reality.
