Minutes of Regrets

Minutes of Regret

As we mature from adolescence

Those closest to us will let us down

Parents who love and would do anything for us

Will at times be nowhere to be found

You'll be heart broken more than enough

And it gets harder each and every time

But you will play heartbreaker too

so remember how it felt inside

Basing current events on past observations

You'll feel dismissed, mistrusted, misunderstood....

So give the benefit of the doubt to others

Or feel more regret than you ever should

To truly forgive means to forget

But treat your future with experience

Holding grudges will do more harm to you

Then the one whose in the actual offense

Because every moment you've ever loathed in life

Counts towards time you've spent upset

And every minute tallied towards hatred

is 60 seconds that you'll regret.......
