I don't know when the death of creativity began but it spread quickly.
Gone are the days where buildings would be adorned with gold and statues and details that would inspire the mind
Whatever happened to the uniquely styled buildings, colorful additions and the personality that was present in nearly every creation?
Whatever even happened to McDonalds, used to be one of the most colorful places you could ever see, the characters from the McDonalds lore present in every location, play places for kids to crawl around in (yes they were unsanitary but every kids is unsanitary) and details like stools being shaped like hamburgers.
Its small things like that that bring out the creativity and joy in others and its not just the fault of the people who build the lame colorless buildings
Its the fault of those who buy them.
The people who buy into this minimal is best nonsense without a shred of care for what's really important.
They simply want to look "clean", something that will never be a proper home or workplace
Minimalism sucks the life out of whatever is being created and by doing so separates us from what actually makes us human. Having connection, personality, vibrancy, life, and energy
In short, fuck minimalism, have a personality
