Mine For The Taking
I’m taking my time
I spent my whole life chasing it,
like I’m running towards a finish line
Too much of it wasted
I was tested but I aced it
I’m moving at my own pace
In my own lane, a one man race
Mindful of how I spend it
Not everyone is worth it being extended
Even though I have plenty of it
Spend it with the ones who really love it
I’m taking my time
No longer killing it like it’s a crime
Stepping through a new portal
Living life like I’m immortal
