I finally understand
It will take a leap of faith
Acceptance of the rutted path
And the mysteries beyond my visual capability
I can’t rest with my feet on the ground
Contemplation only slows my roll
Allowing my courage to peter out
Hesitation quickly tackles and moors you
I must brace my soul for landing
Taking off, fear be damned
At the highest height
I let caution float
Racing into the unknown
I lean into the resistance
As my joints build up speed
Clicking and flicking
Flaming and sparking
The ground drops away
I'm not leaping, I'm flying
Momentum my only fuel
Inertia the only law I now obey
Letting go isn’t an option
My hopes and dreams will carry me
Rocketing across the space between
What used to be and
The dreams I strive for every day

Hi, I read your story and I really liked it. It seems like you are a professional writer because you give each scene its own unique value, which very few people manage to do. I really liked your work it was very, very good. Actually, I’m just a casual reader, and I really enjoy reading stories. and I liked it a lot, too. Also, how long have you been doing this work?
Great entry against the prompt! Best of luck
