Millions of miles away

The future is unknown but there

By Ace EvansPublished about a month ago 1 min read

Like stars, your relationship metamorphose.

Something new had appeared

Though a dark hole was left behind, new elements have formed,

new opportunities arose,

a new start is near.

It’s distant, warming, unseen

But not unknown. Just far away…

Millions of miles away, it had shown its light for the first time.

Millions of miles away, it had formed.

Millions of miles away, it was there.

Out of sight from you.

Millions of miles away, the flame had returned

It crackles and dances with shadows,

it is different.

But from the ashes of a previous fire,

this one had risen, like a dough from an oven close by.

Though it wasn’t.

It wasn’t close; it was millions of miles away.

A distance no person can reach, In a place no person can venture to, scorching at a heat that no person can bear, Your fire burned millions of miles away.

Distance is physical,

but what you know is transcendental.

Stars are untouchable but they are there.

We know them; we love them so much stories and myth have became synonymous with the glow of celestial flames that consume nothing but themselves.

You consumed yourself; she was your fuel now. There was nothing but gaping wounds in the present.

with scraps reminding you of what burned

But millions of miles away a new start has glowed, though you just do not yet know…
