Tuesday 1:23 PM

The sun shines through the newly blooming trees

Casting dancing shadows as they sway in the gentle breeze

Dandelions spread wildly over the yards completely ignored

By the rambunctious kids playing with their friends

Usually this day would be spent busy at work or school

But during this crisis, everyone is isolated at home

Though not are all alone

Smells of marinated ribs and tasty grilled chicken waft over the silent street

Two families barbeque together conversing about the dangers plaguing the world

While still practicing social distancing

They've never really talked, even though they're neighbors

Who had the time until now?

Although many of us are being kept apart, it feels as if we are more connected

In a different kind of way

We are not sharing the same physical space

We are all sharing the same emotional one
