We build sand castles on the beach in the breeze.
We lean towards the ocean for starfish just out of reach.
Can feel the water in the sand, under our bare, dirtied feet.
How beautiful life seems.
The Sun shines brightly upon our warm spirits.
The struggles with life, no one else can hear them.
Smiles a plenty, they shine so bright..... like the stars through clouds on the darkest night.
As bright as fireworks that light up the sky. Summer is about things like this.... Every day, more and more bliss.

Life happened
I once took life for granted, like so many people do. In the middle of the night one year, I got up to use the rest room, and fell straight down. I couldn't walk, I couldn't stand. It was like my leg hadn't any feeling, like it was just loose rubber. I ended up in the hospital. They did a procedure on my arteries, that back then was called a radical procedure. They told me before the procedure, I could die from it. This is how new it was to the medicine world. Needless to say, I spent seven days in ICU. I was discharged straight from there. I was sent to take classes about my body producing to much vitamin K, and how much I wasn't allowed to eat it. It is found in broccoli, and many other greens.

The Duelist
The rays of a dying red sun flashed against the onrushing blade. The grey beards say the key to dueling lies in size, speed, reach, righteous fury, whatever the person in front of them pays them to say. Matteo knew better than any it was none of these and had an undefeated record on these sands to prove it.
