We are but butterflies, waiting to emerge,
From the cocoon of life that has us submerged.
We long to spread our wings and take flight,
To embrace the change that comes with the light.
For metamorphosis is the key to life,
To grow and change, to end all strife.
We shed our old selves like a butterfly's wings,
And take on new ones, with a sense of awe and wonderings.
So let us embrace the change that comes our way,
To live and grow and seize the day.
For we are butterflies, waiting to emerge,
From the cocoon of life that has us submerged
