down past

the flood of breaking bubbles

the foam twisting seashell shapes

emerald and white

brown and crystal-blue

down where the light garbles into

haunting beams

where all the movement of all

the creatures

pulse and echo in my ears

and slide little tickling

currents against my skin

a silver glint under seaweed

breasts white like a greek-goddess statue

and a smile of pearls

sparkling in the liquid glow

float

suspended like a stopped clock

and then move again

sinuous slithering

circle-whirl tidepool

and i watch flowers

bloom underwater
