Mental Drought

Sadness of heart

My cerebral core reaches farther…

Then anyone can tell…

While hiding many secrets from the

Naked eye!

Expanding past the very bowels,

Of one's vile in temperament…

As tongues slither like a serpent…

Caught in the thicket of false repentance!

Tensely gripped…

Fighting to dodge the whip…

While trying to understand…

The depths of each step!

Mind beaten…

Stomach sinking…

From lack of eating…

As thoughts slowly start

Depleting, fading away like

Rain in the offseason!

Holding my composure…

While tears seek for a shoulder…

Weight on my head…

Heavier than a boulder!

Knocking on doors…

Beat up and war-torn…

Searching for anyone to answer…

Hoping to avoid another disaster!

About the Creator

True Whispers

I am a simple man who loves to write poetry.

Writing poetry has always been a way for me to release my mind, and express my feelings.

To me, poetry has no limits, no walls, no boundaries.

Just an open space to speak from one's heart!
