Mens Sana in Corpore Sano
Health awareness is so important

The Latin wisdom told long back—
mens sana in corpore sano—
which means,
a sound mind, in a sound body.
But in the clutter of the modern world,
no one cares, or few do,
and it is a calamity.
This man ruled his family,
for decades, with an iron fist,
controlling, micromanaging,
convinced, he is clever,
that he is doing the right thing,
others are good for nothing.
In the past few months,
he has had colon bleeding,
urine retention, prostrate growth,
treatment for urinary tract infection,
surgery for piles and appendix.
It is a scene of a messed-up
gastrointestinal and urinary system,
a body metabolites, in pandemonium.
In such a sick body,
how can one make rational decisions?
Yet he is the head,
not ready to give power to anybody.
It is a sad situation,
when this man dies suddenly,
as is inevitable, chaos will follow.
Can people monitor their own health
before trying to,
control and manage others?

A powerful reminder that caring for our own health is just as important as any role we hold over others.
