Memories

Youth

By Victoria EnochPublished 3 years ago β€’ 1 min read

I remember the days when I'd run and play,

The life of carefree youth that would never fade away.

The sun-kissed summer days and sunsets so grand,

The treasured moments that made life so grand.

I remember when we'd laugh and dream,

Talking about the future, our hearts full of gleam.

Our lives were ahead, its future so bright,

We'd set our goals and sail in the night.

I remember the first time I fell in love,

Thinking it'd last forever from heaven above.

My heart was beating so fast and hard,

I knew this feeling wouldn't be casted aside.

I remember when I started to grow,

Aging with grace and the winds that blow.

My body changing and my mind expanding,

I had faced the journey and reached understanding.

I remember the life I've had thus far,

The joys, sorrows, and moments that left a scar.

But looking back at all the lessons I've learned,

In the end, I know I've earned.
