Years have flown by swift as the breeze,
As if mere moments, not decades, with ease.
Once youthful, brimming with life's sweet delight,
I waited in hallways, seeking love's sight.
In university corridors, I hoped he'd appear,
Any man to notice, my heart to endear.
But youth, like blossoms in spring's tender hour,
Faded, and still, I hadn't found love's power.
Till one gray hair hinted time's swift sway,
On a rainy day, our paths crossed, come what may.
No more hallways, just streets filled with rain,
I stood, drenched and alone, amid the mundane.
Awaiting the tram, raindrops danced and fell,
Clutching my soaked dress, a tale to tell.
Then he appeared, offering shelter with grace,
His little umbrella, a kindness in that space.
Grateful, I smiled, his grin met my gaze,
"I see you made yourself wet," he teased, in playful phrase.
Laughter echoed, as we stood in the rain,
A simple moment, love's gentle refrain.
Thus began our journey, our story unfurled,
Each day he is a shelter, in a love-filled world.
