Meditation at the Beach
A Poem

As I stood at the edge soaking up the vast ocean,
its tide hurried in to greet me
It lapped around my feet,
free, beautiful—wild,
brimming, a steely child
Its force,
an immense power,
thunderously fuelled—endowed
Its waves danced,
ferocious crescendo—formation
adorned by a vast iced topping,
Edges weaved, a smooth pure silk
As the waters gushed back,
its foamy suds cracked and popped,
splaying fervently across the stones
The waves rolled—as long tubes,
cream fizzed champagne spray,
diamonds sparkled from the sun
A transparent purple hue
glazed, across the sky
reflecting
white powdered lace,
majestic movements heaving
I looked and saw a Creator in all of this mastery,
I felt a connection, a belonging,
I spoke
I prayed
I felt love
I said thank you
And I left my meditation prayer at the beach for that day

Well-wrought! I don't get to see a lot of beaches, landlocked as I am here in Indy, but was fortunate enough to spend some time at the Corpus Christi Bay in Texas recently. Thanks for the lovely reminder!
Fascinating poem and well written, good luck
