Me and My Heart

A Journey of Love, Loss, and Hope

By Solene HartPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

Me and my heart, we talk at night,
In whispers soft, beneath moonlight.
It beats so loud when I feel pain,
Yet sings with joy like summer rain.

I once walked roads with love so near,
But storms came fast, then disappeared.
My heart it cracked, not once but twice,
Still held on strong, paid love’s high price.

We’ve danced in dreams, we’ve cried in sleep,
Kept secrets close, emotions deep.
I tried to leave it all behind,
But heart said, Wait—there’s more to find.

Each sunrise heals what night had torn,
We grow anew, reborn, reborn.
Now me and my heart, side by side,
Chasing peace, we will not hide.

So if you ask how I survive—
It’s me and my heart, still alive.
Together we write, break, and mend,
A love story that may never end.
