We toast, applaud, with pride of our success.
In cheer, embraced, we dance into the night.
With radiance, chromatically we dress,
To promenade, our love parade, our right.
***
The street lamps bow, they fade, the sun attacks.
Alone and mute the littered lanes I roam.
Azure skies, damned to die, by Nimbus black.
My prison gate does await, I am home.
***
A tik-tock clock beats echoes in my cell.
Old joy and tears collide, a ripping tide.
Our bonds absconded, separations hell.
Entombed, our time, the month of pride has died.
***
Rise up, my friends and be no longer mazed.
Let’s damn the clock and lead a new parade.
