Maze
Wonderland poetry challenge: Day 22 (Acrostic)
By Susan Fourtané Published 8 months ago • 1 min read

Madness begins where logic ends
Absurd and unpredictable, the world is all nonsense
Zebras talk, time stops, tea never cools
Every turn in the maze gets you to the end.

I swear, Susan, you're writing for my heart with all these acrostics <3 Lovely <3
Tea never cooling, that would be amazing!
Ah, it would be so nice if tea or any not drinks never cools. It would also be nice if the ice in cold drinks never melts. I hate it when they melt and dilute my drink. Loved your poem!
Loved this.
Very Nice.
Very good, Susan. This one is very twisty and full of symbolism. Excellent work!
This poem really plays with ideas. The line about zebras talking and time stopping makes me think of how our normal sense of logic gets turned on its head in a maze. It's like in a complex technical problem where the obvious solutions don't work. Have you ever felt like you were in a mental maze like this? The idea that every turn in the maze leads to the end is interesting. It makes me wonder if there's a hidden order in all this chaos, much like in some engineering systems where there are underlying patterns despite the complexity. How do you interpret this concept of the maze in the poem?
