Maybe this isn't forever,
Broken hearted goodbyes linger in the air,
Crying won't do much good now,
Darkness will veil our tears.
Equilibrium absent and I'm
Falling to my knees, letting the wet soil seep into my skin.
Grounding is said to be good for the soul,
Heaviness has never felt so weightless,
I want to beg for a sequel to our story but
Jealousy starts to gnaw at my belly.
This poem was meant to be submitted to the ABECEDARIAN poetry contest but I'm too sad to finish it.
Even though this poem is about heartbreak, I know not everyone is brokenhearted at the moment. I'd like to share a few of the printable Valentine's Day cards on my Etsy shop for your spiritual sweetheart.
