Maybe There’s A Chance
The fruitless search for love

There is no ring upon your finger,
Does this mean there’s a chance?
Maybe a little dinner,
Heaven forbid, could there be some romance?
Could this be my lucky day,
Would you give me a second glance?
Unattached and looking for love,
Maybe there’s a chance?
I've never been that lucky in love,
And matters of the heart.
I need to get a grip and give myself a shove,
Wait, did you just look at me?
Was that a tiny spark of love?
Did I just see you smile, or am I going mad?
Could this be my lucky day, when I find love?
Maybe there's a chance?
Coffee gone, you are on the run,
Are you going to walk my way?
If I should smile when our eyes meet,
Will you go out with me one day?
My heart beats as you come toward me
Could this be my lucky day?
I guess not, you just walked right past,
Should have known there was no chance.
Is it so wrong to dream that there is someone,
To share some lovely thoughts?
A little bit of laughter,
Maybe affection of some sort?
My search is lean, no one to be seen,
I am really quite distraught,
I guess I'll just be alone again,
Maybe there is no chance at all …
Till next time,
Calvin

Well I hope he gets his dream girl ♦️♦️♦️
Wow that is so sad Calvin,- I agree with Marie, he should have spoke up. Maybe she didn't know he liked her, and now it was like speak now or forever hold your peace. Nicely Done Calvin. Over on Medium, you are invited to the poetry challenge. Hope to see you there.
Awe so sad, I think he should say hi and offer a seat 🌼🌼♦️
