Maybe Next Time

He was always my type, the kind I'd try hard to tame,

but he knew evry' move, beat me at my own game.

With out a pure soul, he led me out, far, to the edge,

an easy lure, he held the lock to my cage.

He came to show me the key, show off that he held my fate,

but I was too wise, I knew just how long to wait.

So, when the time came, I rose to meet him with a kiss,

he fell for my ruse, that is just the way that love is.

Some days you will win, and the next you may fail,

But stay, hang here and wait, I will have more tale to tell
