It's funny how life turns out to be one big cliche

Analogies ring true more often than not

Like ripping off the bandaid

And how I was too scared of the pain to let you go

Then while I had my back turned

You ripped it off for me

How stupid

I kept that bandaid on for so long

It's like the cut was never even there

How stupid

I held on for so long

And you were never even there
