Some Dreams Do Come True

By Mother CombsPublished 7 months ago 2 min read

Come, my maiden fair

Come back to me

With the speed of a prayer

How I yearn for thee

For what was lost

Never can be regained

Too high was the cost

So much shame retained

🗡️

Her innocence robbed

An adoration fobbed

🗡️

Raven locks

Alabaster skin

One chime by the clocks

He took without askin’

For the pure, he had a thirst

She ran, but he was too fast

She wasn’t his first

She might not be his last

🗡️

Gentle woman

Rutting man

Eyes of moss

Dimpled chin

She mourned her loss

She wasn’t ready to give in

Lying still as the dead

She allowed him his way

With teary eyes, she turned her head

And took her mind far, far away

🗡️

Youth shaken

Brutishly taken

🗡️

How I miss my maiden fair

Her virtuous soul nigh to me

Her spirit ripped, leaving her bare

A light, now dimmed for none to see

Pulls herself together, rises up

A victim she’ll never be

Choosing her was a mix-up

For she stings like a Queen bee

🗡️

Woman scorned

Cock sworned

Playing I-spy

Biding her time

She watched him lie

No one suspected his crime

The more she saw

The more she fumed

It was time to become the law

This slick Casanova was doomed

🗡️

Vengeful lass

Doomed ass

🗡️

Making her plan

Taking back some of what he took

She was taking a stand

He’d have no one else to rook

She’d end this bad dream

With the rising of the moon

Maybe then she could shake and scream

More with fury than the voice of a loon

🗡️

Gathered courage

Pent-up rage

Rose necklace

Bloody candlestick

She came up and struck him in the face

She’d teach him where to put his dick

As he fell, she threw the candle down

Tearing the choker of thorns from her throat

She tossed them to land on his crown

Sweet sixteen, a prisoner to no old goat

🗡️

Crime of passion

Judge with compassion

🗡️

He lay dead

Freeing her at last

She went to her bed

To dream of a happier past

Before the masculine beast

Took what wasn’t his to take

Sleeping peacefully ‘til the sun rises in the east

Rising, her fate to make

Now, even as I weep

For she who the lass once was

Late at night, before I can sleep

Deeply wishing for the pain to pass

Who the maid has become, I now wonder

For rising amidst the ashes from the flame

A fiery Phoenix, full of lightning and thunder

During my night rebirth, I shed the shame

🗡️

Forced Rebirth

Festering-like Mirth

🗡️

For when he took her chastity

Not caring about the toll on my sanity

Tearing out her virginity

With little regard to my fragility

He broke her protective shell

Only for me to come out reborn

Standing before my mirror, she wishes me well

I protect her secret as if it were a newborn

🗡️

Avenging archangel

Guardian angel

oh this is incredible. a whole ride i just went on reading this, carried by the masterfully crafted structure and rhythm. the short couplets really are the cherry on top. nailed an incredibly heavy concept and tricky style. well done, mother dear! 💙

I thought she was going to castrate him, but death is more effective (or could have done both. People like that must suffer). A fantastic poem of rising strength, and a sweet vengeance. Loved it, MC! 💛 Also, "Vengeful lass Doomed ass" The two greatest rhyming lines in history.

  • Oh I'm so happy she gave him what he deserved! Girl power! Loved your poem!
