Malaise

A poor poem

Passionless passions of emotions not wrought

by the magics of ancient metal, of being more powerful

than one could imagine in this new world

destined for greatness as they all believe,

except for the rest who believe the opposite.

~

These are the mettle that keep me awake

in the long nights destined to be

treated like the evils of the four monkeys

or like that fundamental truth of society

never to be seen or heard but to be known the same.

~

Mores, folkways, norms, values

these are the things that make all ask "why"

as they are each shown loyalty

for those seeking solace in the night.
