We didn’t start with much at all,

two people in love trying to figure it out.

A tiny tree and a handful of ornaments,

but we still made the best of it.

We always have made the best of things,

like making magic beanstalk from a handful of beans,

we make our own fairytales.

Years have gone by and our tree has gotten larger,

there’s so many ornaments now,

each one attached to a special memory or treasured person.

We still steal kisses under the mistletoe,

and never forget to count our blessings.

I always count you first, because you’re the best present I could ever receive.

Love built us a kingdom from a shoebox,

a mountain of joys from a tiny pile of snow.
