Make Sense of the Senseless
A Poem on What It Feels like to Be in My Head
By kfr photographyPublished 7 years ago β’ 1 min read

One of my self-portraits, entitled "MADNESS."
I am here and I am there.
I am focused,
and I am utterly
and entirely
elsewhere.
I am pointed in the straight direction
that weaves in and out
and swirls all throughout
creation.
Chaos brims on the edge
of regiment
and routine
and order.
It threatens to overthrow
everything built in supreme perfection,
everything created to withstand
destruction.
I am here and I am there.
I am floating
in concrete.
I am anchored
in clouds.
Nothing makes sense
in the black and white.
Nothing is questioned
in the world of philosophy
and poetry
and creativity.
I am here and I am there.
I am utterly
and entirely
elsewhere.
