Make Me a Life

From depression and anxiety battles to creating a life worth living.

There were days when the world felt heavy,

Dark gray clouds were rolling in.

We would cut through the darkness with knives in our hands,

And find red beneath the skin.

There were days when the world was light blue,

The thinnest veil between me and you.

We felt lighter than air without any care,

and we danced through the night on the moon

There were days that we felt like a rainbow,

We were young and our feelings were bold.

There were nights lit aflame, all those passions and dreams

I promised to never grow old.

Meet me now in the field full of violets,

Hold me close, I’ll whisper in your ear.

There were days I saw nothing but whiteness, little hope,

until I saw you near.

You brought the sun and the moon,

You brought the trees and the air.

You were my mountains and valleys.

You were the dark and the fair.

Sing to me now a new rainbow,

Color me a new song.

Give me a life full of color,

This is where I belong.
